Blake Lively’s Most Awaited Site- Preserve Is Launched

Blake Lively has officially launched her much awaited lifestyle site, Preserve. It has been one of the hot topics for fashion conscious people to discuss around since past few months, and now we can actually experience the product. It is a big surprise as the official launch of the site is planned actually on 23rd July!

To begin with the homepage you can see a video. It has tiny pictures, which are probably of Blake and Ryan Reynolds; but the faces are covered. Then comes, the editor’s letter, in which Blake writes she’s “hungry…and not just for enchiladas.” If we go to shop section there is a variety of offerings. In the editor’s letter you can find Blake revealing her humanitarian aspect.

While it is apparent that Preserve is a “for-profit business”, it also has a social cause. The American actress has joined hands with Covenant House – a US charity that helps homeless, trafficked, and abused young people in America.

During its first year, Preserve will give 5% of total sales in the food, style and home sections to the charity, with the aim of novel cause of providing 5,000 kids with a meal, 2,700 children with a sweatshirt, and 2,000 children with a warm blanket.

A few lines from editor’s letter will reveal how sensitive the actress is about her new endeavor. She writes “I’m comfortable with the knowledge that I’m not a teacher, but rather, a student. I don’t do any one thing perfectly. I do a lot of things though. Some well, some not-so-well.”

She humbly adds ““Preserve” isn’t me. It’s a handful of the most dedicated, soulful, wise, patient people I’ve ever had the honor of working alongside. People who’ve filled the pages of this site with a force of passion, talent and integrity. I’m grateful for our countless late nights building a home out of pixels, light and imagination.”
