Donald Robertson satirizes denizens of Fashion
Estee Lauder has a very famous creative director- Donald Robetson. He is an extremely popular figure on Instagram as about 146000 people follow him and admire his work which he produces at his house. All his work is fashion related and quite inspiring.
He has had collaborations with Smashbox Cosmetics, Bergdorf Goodman, Colette, J.Crew, Brian Atwood, Alice +Olivia, Story, and other renowned brands. The Canadian born has taken a new step towards the publishing industry as he has just come out with his new book named ‘Mitford at the Fashion Zoo’.
Mitford has become a very famous character as Robertson has introduced him in his signature black frames. He is a giraffe who is extremely popular in the fashion industry and quite a hit with fashion followers. Robertson’s wife Kimberly Gierske has written the story for his book and he has illustrated it. His partnership with Viking Press has brought about a whole new cast with Mitford like the Shark Jakobs, Zap Possum, and Mikael Boars to the fauna of the fashion industry.
Robertson also has plans for rolling over about 25 themed items related to Mitford. For this regard, he is in close collaboration with brands like Rolex, Story, J.Crew and Warby Parker. The book will hit the stores on August 10. In a recent interview, Robertson was asked about his inspiration when he mentioned that his lawyer had advised him to turn the popular fashion people into animal characters.
He also said that though he has five kids and the name of the book suggests that it is for children but it is not. It is for all the people related to fashion world with a childish mind. He also talked about Instagram as the one giving him immense popularity and power to be what he is today. He also said the real fashion world is just like a zoo but without cages.
