Public School is going International
Maxwell Osborne and his partner Dao-Yi Chow are really trending these days. The creative director duo from the house of DKNY made their debut at the New York Fashion week, and they have already become a star. They are not only working at their creative high but they are the 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund competition winner of the International Woolmark Prize for their work in menswear design.
Now Public School is actually going International with its upcoming fashion show. The duo will be presenting their work in Dubai. The creative directors from the New York based label will be seen showcasing their pre-fall collection in Dubai in the month of November on a Dubai runway.
This is being seen as a recent trend with most fashion brands as they are trying to take their brand to the global level. Many fashion editors, buyers and outsiders were seen from around the world at the season shows and mostly the luxury brands are among the list of such fashion brands. Gucci, which is quite a name in the fashion industry, blocked a street and used it as an extension of its runway for its models to walk down for resort 2016 in the neighborhood of Chelsea, New York.
Dior on the other hand had rented the Pierre Cardin Bubble Palace which is in southern France for its collection. Louis Vuitton went for a chic event and held it in Palm Springs which made Coachella run for its money. Chanel was not far as it is known for holding its events every year in places like Seoul and Salzburg and now Dubai.
Since all the big brands have already tried their hands at international water and the Middle East is such a global market, retailers and fashion labels which are new are also trying hard to reach the global audience and make a mark for themselves.
