Serena Williams Posed at NYFW
Serena Williams was in New York Fashion Week, and was about to start with an interview when she came to know that Vogue editor Anna Wintour was there. Serena expressed her feelings as, “It means a lot … I mean, she’s Anna Wintour at the end of the day, fashion’s queen. I hope she enjoys it.” Serena was delighted and was definitely enjoying the moment!
Because of her fresh win at the U.S. open she has already become very famous and being counted as one of the promising player. She proved kind of same in field of fashion too! Serena took on a few of the fashion’s most famous names with her at the first runway show which happened on Tuesday.
The show was star studded as it showed off celebs like supermodel Beverly Johnson, comedy actor Marlon Wayans, and actor Boris Kodjoe. At the show Anna displayed her ‘Serena Williams Signature Statement Collection’ which has been designed for HSN Network. The collection can be described as casual wear but somewhat pumped up. It is indeed an everyday wear which is very much realistic. Serena said, “Sometimes you go to fashion shows and none of it is really realistic. You can take it off the models and you can go out and wear it, so that is what we wanted to showcase.”
The designs of the collection included a sleeveless and long sweatshirt, which has alphabet “S” at the front. It also has zippered body-fit mini-frocks. The collection was special because leopard print pants which she wore during the U.S. Open! Other attractions included faux fur coats and jersey-knit attires. Williams was very much involved with the show as she said, “I had a really focused mind; I would literally be on the table getting my back worked on looking at different models.”
