Women are often made to believe that the handbag or other bag they carry should match the shoes they wear. Often this results in wastage of many hours of time and money to find the right match. In reality they need not be bothered about matching the bag they carry with the shoes, anything comfortable will be adequate. It is also possible to wear socks and stockings with open toe shoes like sandals.
Similarly it is believed that navy blue and black should not be used with each other, since they are both dark colours, which cannot be distinguished. However, there are many designs/patterns where these colors can be used together.
Most women believe that clothes and accessories with sequins and metallic beads, are to be worn only during the night, but there can be exceptions, especially when the garments and accessories are conventionally designed. Silver and gold should be used separately by conventional wisdom for jewellery, but it is possible to mix and match to give a distinctive look.
