Collaboration of & Other Stories with Rodarte is expected for the next spring

& Other Stories and sister duo from Rodarte, Kate and Laura Mulleavy can be seen together the next spring. Both the brands have decided to come together and collaborate for a capsule collection. It was announced and confirmed on Tuesday evening by the Swedish retailer. Now, one can expect ready-to-wear including shoes and accessories from the sister duo at a high price which will range from $29 to $325 according to WWD. The collection will be up for grabs from in-stores as well as on online stores. The flagship store which was opened in SoHo, New York City in the year 2014 will have the collection. The other stores which are yet to be opened in Fifth Avenue and the 42nd Street soon on October 30 too will showcase the collection.

According to the press release from the Mulleavys, they are happy with the collaboration with & Other Stories as they have been given the creative freedom to create this special creation in a new environment.

The positioning of & Other Stories which are unique in the fashion world too have helped them translate their Rodarte creation in a new landscape. Until now & Other Stories has collaborated with not so famous designers like Claire Vivier, Lykke Li, Rachel Antonoff and stylist Ada Kokosar. The collaboration with Rodarte is a big one.

Rodarte which is based in Los Angeles have always been cautious when it comes to the commercial world. Their first collaboration in 2007 with brand like Gap was a success which was alongside the winner designers Doo.Ri and Thakoon from CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. They also collaborated with Target in 2009 which was the first collaboration with designers for Target. They had also released two collections in collaboration with Opening Ceremony in 2011 and went the route of concept boutique. The collaboration with & Other Stories is an interesting one and to look forward to.
