And it has been successful in making a name in the past nine years ever since its inception. West Village earlier housed Marc by Marc Jacobs will now be seen housing Want Les Essentiels. The brand, which served men with extremely practical and coveted essentials, has started serving women too with backpacks and tote bags, which are understated and classy, along with shoes. The handbag line was just started last fall.

Want Les Essentiels was earlier available in a few stores only. The stores included Opening Ceremony, Ssense and Barneys. However it is good news for the people of New York that the coveted brand and its full women range along with men range will be available to them at the very cozy and quiet store of West Village. The brand’s founders Dexter and Byron Peart have made the store look like a home. The cozy store will give a feel of the living room with huge windows and mid century furnishings.

There is also space for customers to have tea in the back of the store. Some home goods too are for sale in one quiet space.

The brand also has store in Canada which will give a feel of a pharmacy as it houses skin and body care products. The founders wanted to use a different concept which is unique in a store which is outside their home. They have no plans to open another store in the U.S. after their first one.
